Welcome to the Pine Lake Library Media Center website!  Today’s school library media program plays a key role in educating students for global challenges.  The Library Media Center is a multi-media learning center that enriches, supports, and vitalizes the school’s instructional program.  As such, it is available for use by students, parents, and staff members of the Pine Lake community.  There is a wide variety of materials for check-out and for use in the media center.

Circulation Policies

The Library Media Center is open from 8:20 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. daily.  Students visiting the Library Media Center must have a library pass from a faculty member (or be part of a class) to visit during the scheduled school day or before or after school.  Students may also visit before or after school if accompanied by a parent who has signed in with the front office as a visitor.

Circulation privileges extend to all students, parents, and staff members throughout the Pine Lake community.  Students may check out no more than two books at a time for a two-week period.  An additional book (if available) may be checked out with teacher communication with the library media specialist if needed for a project.  Parents may check out up to ten books in consultation with the library media specialist.  No fines will be assessed for overdue books, but books are expected to be returned on time.  Students and parents will be required to pay by or before the end of the school year for books that are not returned or returned damaged (wet, torn, written in, or other damages) in order to replace those books.
